Mediation serves as a wonderful opportunity to resolve litigation in an efficient and cost effective way. It allows parties to manage the risks of litigation and to be involved in crafting a resolution which will provide them with both certainty in the outcome and closure.
With over 10 years of experience as a mediator, Marcela Saitua offers skilled, reliable mediation services. She is intimately familiar with the litigation process and the methods of Principled Negotiation developed at Harvard University. She has dealt with claims ranging from routine slip and fall and motor vehicle accidents to medical malpractice claims, civil sexual assaults, institutional abuse, and complex multi-party disputes. She knows that claims of different magnitudes require different approaches, but that all require due care and attention.
Marcela has studied alternative dispute resolution at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and has completed the Stitt Feld Handy Group/University of Windsor, Faculty of Law ADR and Advanced ADR Workshops. In 2020, Marcela was inducted into the Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals in recognition of excellence in the practice of dispute resolution.
